Shop Foreman
Position Title: Shop Foreman
General Summary: CARE Industries is a leading manufacturer of turnkey oilfield Drilling and Service Rig Packages and is now accepting resumes for the position of Shop Foreman for our Burnt Lake Division. Qualified applicants are Journeymen Welders with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, with required experience in a supervisory position. Duties will include overseeing shop production of oilfield equipment, managing employees, and assisting the Division Manager with customer service issues. Applicants must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and enjoy a challenging and rewarding work environment. CARE offers an excellent wage and benefits package, a Safety/Service/Commitment program, a safe and clean work environment and on the job training.
Essential Job Functions:
• Oversee the production and maintenance of a shop of 8-12 Welders
• Assist Division Manager in planning, scheduling, directing, performing, and evaluating all other shop duties
• Assist in maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees
• Possesses strong interpersonal and communications skills

Journeymen/women Welders
Position Title: Journeymen/woman Welder Reports to: Division Manager
General Summary: CARE Industries is currently hiring Journeymen/women Welders. The qualified applicant will have successfully completed some sort of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training as well as hold a valid Welder Trade Certificate. CARE Industries offers an excellent wage, industry competitive benefits packages, a Safety/Service/Commitment Program, a safe and clean work environment, and on the job training. Ability to start as soon as possible is an asset.
Essential Job Functions:
• Structural welding, fabrication and assembly of Service Rigs, Drilling Rigs, and related equipment
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Operate drill presses
• Operate Mig Welders and Stick Welders
• Completing various welding techniques including: Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and Metal/Flux Core Welding
• Experience in Metal Core Arc Welding is a requirement
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Completing work for custom fabrication and structural construction
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Knowledge in creating shop sketches
• Knowledge in preparing jigs or set-ups for welding
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
• Ability to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Ability to work individually and/or in a group setting
• Ability to problem solve
• Skilled in working with stainless steel, steel, iron, heavy metals, aluminum alloys
• Skilled in strong decision making
• Skill in reading text, document use, numeracy, and oral communications

Education and Experience:

Apprentice Welder
Position Title: Apprentice Welder Reports to: Divisional Manager
General Summary: CARE Industries is currently hiring Apprentice Welders. The qualified applicant will have successfully completed High School as well as be in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd Period of Apprenticeship looking to gain experience in the field of new/custom fabrication and maintenance and repair. CARE Industries offers an excellent wage, industry competitive benefits packages, a Safety/Service/Commitment Program, a safe and clean work environment, and on the job training.
Essential Job Functions:
• Basic knowledge of all welding processes: Shield Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, and Metal/Flux Arc
• Basic knowledge of fabrication equipment including hand tools, shears, drill press, and pedestal grinders
• Ability to take direction and carry out various tasks related to all aspects of fabrication
• Willingness to learn and improve
• Must conduct themselves in a safe and orderly manner
• Must be able to work within a team environment
• Willingness to be involved in outdoor assembly of all Drilling/Service Equipment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• C Brake press knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge of basic blueprint reading skills is an asset
• Knowledge of the application and operation of PPE related to the trade
• Ability to interpret welding process specifications
• Possesses a strong attention to detail
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to listen and learn
Education and Experience:
• Completion of High School
• Some college/vocational/technical training - 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, or 3rd Period Apprentice
Physical Requirements:
